I am a management consultant with substantial experience in global business at major foreign and Korean corporations.

Throughout my career, I was always involved in cross-border business transactions and I have done lots of translation works. While at LG Group, I was a translator for the expat Co-CEO of LG-EDS, a 50/50 joint venture between LG Group and EDS of the USA. I was highly valued as a catalyst in the JV since I was not only proficient in languages, but also had a good understanding in technology, business, and the cultures of both Korea and the West. Later, I was recruited as a translator for Chairman Koo for 2 years and I have translated for him when he met with high-profile people such as Jack Welch, Michael Porter, Peter Peterson etc.

After I am released from translation duty, I have also worked at various cross-border high profile business transactions as executive responsibilities. I was a team leader (or a key member) of the task force for – negotiation with British Telecom for its strategic investment into LG Telecom, the Korean #3 mobile operater – dissolution of LG-EDS, a 50/50 joint venture between LG Group of Korea and EDS of USA – Buy-out of the Phillips Electronics from LG-Phillips, a JV between LG and the Phillips – Establishment of Aethna Technology Ventures, a USD 500 million venture fund set up by LG Group and the limited partenrs of the USA

After LG, I had various executive responsibilities (including CEO positions) at LG subsidiaries and non-LG businesses and – Licensed proprietary mobile technobliy of a silicon valley tech start-up for a Korean venture firm – Negotaited master license agreement with MGM Studio for MGM IP based theme park construction in Jeju, Korea – Represented Nigierian Investment Inducement Agency in Korea – Assisted a Texas based electronic parts manufacruter with its establishment of its its branch office in Korea, etc.

I have sold my firm a year ago and enjoying a luxury of the lifestyle of semi-retirement while preparing for my next venture.
